New Ministry for Moms
Hunter Street will be launching a new ministry for moms in February 2009. The purpose of the ministry will be to connect mothers through a monthly meeting where there will be fellowship, inspiring speakers, and a study of God's Word. It will also be an opportunity to reach out to women in the community who are in need of a connection with other mothers. Contact Sharon Jordan for more information, 205.739.5332 or sharonj@hsbc.org.
Route 56 Fall Retreat
The R56 Fall Retreat is coming November 21-23. "Last Man Standing" will be held at the WorldSong Camp and Conference Center. Our 5th & 6th grade students will be challenged to contend for their faith in a world of darkness. Rob Perry will lead worship and Joe Stringer will be the retreat speaker. Register at the KidQuest Desk by November 9 to save your spot and secure your retreat t-shirt. The cost for the Fall Retreat is $75 ($50 non-refundable deposit due at registration). Registrations after November 9 will have a $15 late fee added. All students attending the Fall Retreat will need a 2008 Medical Release Form on file. Holiday Schedule
The holidays are quickly approaching and that means some changes to the church schedule. Here are some important dates to remember.
- November 23- No Route 56 Worship. Sunday School and Outfitters Worship meet as usual. Route 56 Worship will resume on January 4.
- November 25: Wednesday on Tuesday. Children grades 1 and up will attend the service with their parents where the Lord's Supper will be served. Preschool activities will meet as usual.
- November 27 & 28: Church Office closed for Thanksgiving.
- December 7: Last morning for Outfitters Worship until January 4.
- December 14: Beautiful Savior Christmas Program during morning services. No Sunday School for grades 1-12 and adults. Preschool classes will meet.
- December 17: Candlelight Service. Children ages 4 & up attend with their parents. Childcare availabale for birth through 3.
- December 21: Regular Schedule.
- December 24-26: Church Office closed for Christmas.
- December 28: 2 Services- 9:30 & 10:45. No Sunday School. Preschool classes will meet.
- December 31: No Wednesday Night Activities.
- January 1: Church Office closed.
- January 4: Regular Sunday morning schedule resumes.
- January 7: Wednesday Night Activities resume.

SummerQuest: the Videos
